GUIL GUIMARAES
arrived in Seattle from Brazil in August, 2000. Formerly a member of a major Brazilian symphony orchestra, he brought with him extensive musical experience ranging through classical, Latin jazz, and all types of Brazilian and Afro-Brazilian rhythms and song. With his versatile background, he has the ability to cross over numerous musical genres. Guil has already made a name for himself playing with a number of well-known musicians and bands in the Seattle area. He is also a composer of his own jazz originals.
