Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement classes consist of effortless exercises that create dramatic, immediate improvements in flexibility, posture, coordination and comfort. This comprehensive system includes exercises that address every joint and muscle group in the body while enhancing attention, imagination and self-awareness.

Comfortable and Dynamic Walking

Half-day workshop ~ Saturday May 29th, 10am-1pm ~ $35
Fremont Abbey Arts Center ~ 4272 Fremont Ave N (map)

Comfortable walking contributes to a happy and healthy life. A satisfying walk is a joy at any stages or age of your life, but dynamic movement becomes more essential as we age to prevent limitations and conditions such as osteoporosis. No matter what your age or history, more ease is the direct result of how you move.

This course will lead you through movements designed to improve the full-bodied aspects of walking. You will experience the interdependent relationships between the hip joints, spine, ribs, shoulder blades, and head as they respond to the impact of stepping. Every person receives individual attention and is given lessons to take home that apply to their particular needs. This work is based on Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement.
